Non-Immigrant Visa Category “B” (Business only )

Non-Immigrant Category B

Place of application

  • Visa applicants who have permanent residence in Denmark, Iceland , and Lithuania can apply for this type of visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen.
  • The Royal Thai Consulates headed by Honorary Consul are not authorized to issue this type of visa.

Remark: All catagories of visa, the applicant must provide a copy of hotel reservation/ rental contract/deed. In case of residing with a family, an invitation from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required. (The name of the applicant must indicated clearly)

1. For business urposes such as attending a conference, meetings and visiting business partners

Applicants who wish to travel to Thailand for a business purpose such as attending a conference should apply for Non-Immigrant B visa and only a single entry is granted at a time. The following documents along with the application form duly completed are required;

  • Actual passport (valid at least six months and in good condition)
  • Copy of the passport
  • Copy of the roundtrip ticket or reservation
  • Copy of the residence permit AND copy of the yellow CPR card if you are a non-Danish national residing in Denmark
  • Copy of hotel reservation/ rental contract/deed or a confirmation from the host company confirming the applicant’s residential address. In case of residing with a family, an invitation from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required.The name of the applicant must indicated clearly. In case of work or attending business conferences, a confirmation from the host company confirming the applicant’s residential address is required.(The name of the applicant must indicated clearly)
  • Citizens listed in the countries with additional requirements, please see,  List of Special Countries with Additional Requirements.
  • One colored passport picture taken no longer than six months
  • An invitation letter from the company in Thailand
  • Copy of company’s registration
  • Copy of company’s tax papers
  • A reference letter from the Danish company stating the purpose of the visit in Thailand
  • Appropriate fee in cash only
  • Each application must contain all the required documents. One copy of the document, e.g. flight ticket, cannot be shared with other applicants. Each applicant must have their own copy.

2. For the purpose of working in Thailand

If you have been given a job offer in Thailand or the company you are currently employed is transferring you to their sister company in Thailand, it is necessary that you apply for a single entry Non-Immigrant B visa before entering the Kingdom. This visa allows the applicant to stay and work in Thailand for 90 days. During the stay, the applicant must contact the Thai Immigration Service within 30 days after arrival and apply for an extension of the stay permit. The applicant must also apply for a work permit at the Ministry of Labour. The following documents along with the application form duly completed are required;

  • Actual passport (valid at least six months and in good condition for a single entry Non-Immigrant visa and valid at least one and a half year for one year Non-Immigrant visa with multiple entries)
  • Copy of the passport
  • Copy of the roundtrip ticket or reservation
  • Copy of the residence permit AND copy of the yellow CPR card if you are a non-Danish national residing in Denmark
  • Copy of hotel reservation/ rental contract/deed or a confirmation from the host company confirming the applicant’s residential address. In case of residing with a family, an invitation from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required.The name of the applicant must indicated clearly. In case of work or attending business conferences, a confirmation from the host company confirming the applicant’s residential address is required.(The name of the applicant must indicated clearly)
  • Citizens listed in the countries with additional requirements, please see List of Special Countries with Additional Requirements.

  • Copy of work permit form 3 issued by the Ministry of Labour of Thailand (W.P.3/ Tor Thor 3 Click here ) for applicants who do not hold a valid Thai work permit yet
  • Copy of valid Thai work permit (if any)
  • Appropriate fee in cash only
  • Each application must contain all the required documents. One copy of the document, e.g. flight ticket, cannot be shared with other applicants. Each applicant must have their own copy.

NOTE: Should the applicant wish to relocate to Thailand with their spouse and/or children, the accompanying family members need to apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa. The following documents are required for the accompanying family members along with the application form duly completed;

  • Actual passport (valid at least six months and in good condition for a single entry Non-Immigrant visa and valid at least one and a half year for one year Non-Immigrant visa with multiple entries)
  • Copy of the passport
  • Copy of the roundtrip ticket or reservation
  • Copy of the residence permit AND copy of the yellow CPR card if you are a non-Danish national residing in Denmark
  • Copy of hotel reservation/ rental contract/deed or a confirmation from the host company confirming the applicant’s residential address. In case of residing with a family, an invitation from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required.The name of the applicant must indicated clearly. In case of work or attending business conferences, a confirmation from the host company confirming the applicant’s residential address is required.(The name of the applicant and family must indicated clearly)
  • An additional copy of hotel reservation or residential address in Thailand if you are a citizen of the special countries, please see section List of Special Countries with Additional Requirements.
  • One colored passport picture taken no longer than six months
  • An invitation letter from the company in Thailand (The name of the applicant and family must indicated clearly)
  • Copy of the marriage certificate in case of accompanying spouse. Please note that according to the Thai law, any legal rights can be granted to the spouse through legal marriage, hence the applicant’s cohabitant/partner (boyfriend/girlfriend) will not be grant a Non-Immigrant O visa.
  • Copy of the birth certificate in case of accompanying child. Please note that in case of minors, both parents must sign on the children’s applications. Should both parents are no longer married or are separated, an official child custody document from the Danish authority is requested.
  • Appropriate fee in cash only
  • Each application must contain all the required documents. One copy of the document, e.g. flight ticket, cannot be shared with other applicants. Each applicant must have their own copy.

 Remark

  • Keep in mind that if you work in Thailand for the first time or you do not have a valid work permit, the Embassy will issue a single entry non-immigrant B visa which allows you to work in Thailand for three months. Once you arrive in Thailand, you should contact the Ministry of Labour of Thailand and apply for a work permit and contact the Immigration Bureau to extend your stay permit if you need to stay more than three months.
