Arrangement for the Implementation of ACMECS Single Visa between Thailand and Cambodia
The Issuance of ACMECS Single Visa
ACMECS Single Visa will be issued to tourists holding all kinds of valid passports (with at least 6 month validity) from 35 countries as listed in ANNEX 3 of the Operational Arrangement dated 24 November 2006.
Date of ACMECS Single Visa Implementation
Both parties agree to commence the implementation of the ACMECS Single Visa on 27 December 2012, or otherwise mutually agreed.
Printing of ACMECS Single Visa
Thailand and Cambodia are responsible for the production of their ACMECS Single Visa Stickers using the same design model and security features. Thailand’s ACMECS Single Visa is marked by the initial letters “THA” preceding the serial number of the stickers. Cambodia’s ACMECS Single Visa is marked by the initial letters “KHM” preceding the serial number of the stickers.
ACMECS Single Visa Revenue Collection
For ACMECS Single Visa issued by Thai consulates/embassies, Thailand collects its own visa fee and Cambodia will collect its visa fee at its international border checkpoints. For ACMECS Single Visa issued by Cambodian consulates/embassies, Cambodia collects its own visa fee and Thailand will collect its visa fee at its international border checkpoints.
For Thailand, in virtue of Thai Immigration Act BE.2522 (AD 1979), the fee will be collected from every single applicant regardless of his/her age or gender. For Cambodia, however, the ACMECS Single Visa will be issued free of charge for children under 12 years old.
Validity, Duration and Extension of Stays
The validity of ACMECS Single Visa is 90 days from the date of issuance. The period of stay under the ACMECS Single Visa is 60 days for Thailand and 30 days for Cambodia.
Both parties shall exchange information concerning the implementation of ACMECS Single Visa and the number of stickers issued every 3 months.
