1. For the purpose of studying in Thailand
Applicants are to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED visa if traveling to Thailand for the following educational purposes;
- Studying at a Thai or an International School in Thailand (completing secondary or high school)
- Completing an exchanged programme at a school or university in Thailand for a semester or more
- Being accepted by a Thai university to complete a Bachelor, Master or PHD programme
Applicants have to apply non immigrant visa, which is when entering Thailand, the Immigration officer at the entry point will grant a 90-day stay. This is an initial period of stay for this type of visa. For an extension of stay beyond 90 days, application must be made at the Immigration Bureau in Thailand.
A single-entry must be used to enter Thailand within 3 months from the date of issue.- A multiple-entry visa must be used to enter Thailand within 1 year from the date of issue.
- Passport (valid at least six months and in good condition for a single entry Non-Immigrant visa and valid at least one and a half year for one year Non-Immigrant visa with multiple entries)
- Hotel reservation/ rental contract/deed. In case of residing with a family, an invitation from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required. The name of the applicant must indicated clearly. - Invitation letter/ acceptance letter from the school/university you are attending
- School registration (not necessary for university)
- A copy of tuition fee payment
- A reference letter from the Danish school or university (in case of attending an exchanged programme)
- Declaration form CLICK
- If you are a non-Danish national residing in Denmark then you need a Copy of the residence permit (opholdstilladelse) AND copy of the yellow CPR card

2. For the purpose of internship
In order to complete a Bachelor or a Master’s degree in Denmark, it is common that students are required to complete an internship at a company, hospital, NGOs and other organizations and a lot of internships usually take place overseas. When a student is accepted an internship in Thailand, she/he needs to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED visa.
- Passport (valid at least six months and in good condition for a single entry Non-Immigrant visa and valid at least one and a half year for one year Non-Immigrant visa with multiple entries)

- A copy of company’s registration
- A copy of the undersigned internship contract
- A reference letter from the school/university in Denmark stating the purpose of visit to Thailand

Remark
Taking Thai boxing courses or diving lessons and other activities will not be considered as education but mere hobby, hence tourist visa is eligible.

Remark
Kindly note that a single entry Non-Immigrant visa allows travelers to stay in the Kingdom of Thailand for three months only. An application for extension of stay permit is possible at the Thai Immigration Office provided that the applicants contact the Immigration in person with the required documents according to each category of visa.
