Non immigrant Category O due to familial ties

      • From 1 June 2021, visa applicants from Denmark and Lithuania are required to apply for a visa online only at https://thaievisa.go.th Visa applicants will be asked to set up an account and submit an online visa application as an individual. All required documents must be uploaded including Ticket reservation and accommodation after Sha+ or Quarantine hotel, and the payment is made online through secured portal.

     1. Based on the ground of marriage

Any foreign nationals married to a Thai national can apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa (marriage visa).

  1. Passport (valid at least six months and in good condition for a single entry Non-Immigrant visa and valid at least one and a half year for one year Non-Immigrant visa with multiple entries)
  2. Hotel reservation/ rental contract/deed. In case of residing with a family, an invitation from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required. The name of the applicant must indicated clearly.   3. Bank statement for the past two months with savings amount no less than 400,000 Baht (approximately 90,000 DKK) OR proof of monthly income of at least 40,000 Baht (approximately 9,000 DKK) after tax
  4. Marriage certificate
  5. Spouse’s declaration of marriage. The document must be signed and dated
  6. An undersigned and dated copy of spouse’s passport AND Thai ID

  8. If you are a non-Danish national residing in Denmark then you need a copy of the residence permit (opholdstilladelse) AND a copy of the yellow CPR card.

      2. As a child of a Thai parent

Applicants who are half Thai of origin (e.g. born of a Thai mother and a Danish father) can apply for a Non-Immigrant visa.

  1. Passport (valid at least six months and in good condition for a single entry Non-Immigrant visa and valid at least one and a half year for one year Non-Immigrant visa with multiple entries)
  2. Hotel reservation/ rental contract/deed. In case of residing with a family, an invitation from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required.  The name of the applicant must indicated clearly.   3. Birth certificate as proof of the familial tie as well as an undersigned copy of parent’s passport AND Thai ID. Please note that in case of minors, both parents must sign on the children’s applications. Should both parents are no longer married or are separated, an official child custody document from the Danish authority is requested.

  3. As a former Thai citizen

Applicants who were formerly Thai citizens and currently holding other citizenship can also apply for a Non-Immigrant visa.

  1. Passport (valid at least six months and in good condition for a single entry Non-Immigrant visa and valid at least one and a half year for one year Non-Immigrant visa with multiple entries)
  2. Hotel reservation/ rental contract/deed. In case of residing with a family, an invitation from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required. Non-Immigrant Visa                                 500 DKK for single entry  (3 months)

Remark

  1. Kindly note that a single entry Non-Immigrant visa allows travelers to stay in the Kingdom of Thailand for three months only. An application for extension of stay permit is possible at the Thai Immigration Office provided that the applicants contact the Immigration in person with the required documents according to each category of visa.
